Rules Of Handball

Handball is a fast-paced and exciting sport that is played by people of all ages and skill levels around the world. The objective of the game is to throw a small rubber ball into a goal using only the hands. Here is a list of the basic rules of handball:

  1. The game is played on a rectangular court that measures 40m x 20m.
  2. Each team consists of seven players, with positions including goalkeeper, left wing, left back, center back, right back, right wing, and pivot.
  3. The objective of the game is to score more goals than the opposing team by throwing the ball into a 2m high goal.
  4. The game begins with a throw-off, where the ball is thrown from the center of the court.
  5. Players are not allowed to carry the ball, and must pass it to a teammate or throw it into the goal within 3 seconds of receiving it.
  6. Players can use any part of the body to control the ball except for the foot or lower leg.
  7. Players are allowed to jump and catch the ball, but they are not allowed to touch the ball with their foot.
  8. The game is divided into two 30-minute halves, with a 10-minute halftime break.
  9. If the game ends in a tie, extra time or a “shootout” can be used to determine the winner.
  10. The team with the most goals at the end of the game is declared the winner.
