Learn About Snooker

Snooker is a cue sport that is played on a large rectangular table, with pockets in each of the four corners and in the middle of each of the long side cushions. The standard size of a snooker table is 12 ft x 6 ft (3.66m x 1.83m).

The game is played with 22 balls in total, 15 red balls worth one point each, and 6 colored balls (yellow worth 2 points, green worth 3 points, brown worth 4 points, blue worth 5 points, pink worth 6 points and black worth 7 points)

The objective of the game is to score more points than the opponent by potting (sinking) the balls in the pockets. A player begins by striking the white cue ball, which is used to hit the other balls on the table. The player must first pot a red ball, then a colored ball, and so on, until all the red balls have been potted, and then the colored balls in order of their value. The player who pots the final ball wins the frame.
